Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Heaven-Leigh Pilates. These Terms & Conditions are here to keep things simple, fair and clear for everyone. By booking or attending a class, private session or event with Heaven-Leigh Pilates, you agree to the terms below.
Bookings & Payments
All sessions should be booked through the Heaven-Leigh Pilates booking system unless otherwise agreed. Your place is only confirmed once your booking has been successfully completed.
Payment is required at the time of booking where applicable. Prices are shown at the point of booking and may occasionally change; however, any change in price will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed and paid for.
Bookings are for the person named on the booking unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
I completely understand that life happens and sometimes plans need to change. If you can no longer attend your session, please cancel or reschedule through the booking system up to two hours prior to your class, so that your space can be offered to someone else.
Where something unexpected happens — such as illness, childcare difficulties, travel disruption or another genuine circumstance — please get in touch.
Repeated last-minute cancellations or missed sessions may result in future bookings being restricted or the session being treated as used. Heaven-Leigh Pilates reserves the right to apply reasonable restrictions where the cancellation system is repeatedly misused.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Please aim to arrive at least five minutes before your session, especially if this is your first time, so you have time to get settled. I would like to meet you and make you feel as comfortable as possible, so the time prior to the start is beneficial for all.
If you arrive late, you may still be able to join where it is safe and practical to do so. However, entry cannot always be guaranteed if the class has already started, particularly where joining late could disrupt the session or mean missing important safety information.
If you cannot attend, please let me know whenever possible rather than simply not attending. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to make future bookings.
Health & Participation
Pilates is a form of physical exercise and participation is undertaken at your own risk.
Before taking part, you are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about any injuries, pain, medical conditions, recent surgery or other circumstances that could affect your ability to exercise safely.
Please tell your instructor if anything changes.
You should work within your own abilities and follow the modifications or alternatives offered where appropriate. If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, feel unwell or experience anything that concerns you during a session, stop exercising and inform your instructor immediately.
Heaven-Leigh Pilates cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you are unsure whether Pilates is appropriate for you, please seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before participating.
Pregnancy & Injuries
Pregnancy and the postnatal period do not automatically prevent you from taking part in exercise, and I want my classes to be as welcoming and inclusive as possible.
However, I do not currently hold a specialist pre- and postnatal Pilates qualification. For your safety and to ensure I remain within the scope of my qualifications and insurance cover, please let me know before booking or attending if you are pregnant or postnatal.
I can provide general modifications and alternatives where these fall within my existing qualifications and scope of practice. However, I cannot provide specialist antenatal or postnatal programming or pregnancy-specific advice.
Depending on your individual circumstances and stage of pregnancy or postnatal recovery, I may recommend that you seek guidance from your midwife, GP or another appropriate healthcare professional, or attend a specialist pre/postnatal class with a suitably qualified instructor.
My priority is to make sure that you are supported safely and appropriately, rather than asking you to participate in a class that may not be suitable for your individual needs.
Class Changes & Cancellations
Occasionally, a session may need to be changed or cancelled due to instructor illness, venue issues, emergencies or circumstances outside of our reasonable control.
Where possible, you will be given as much notice as reasonably practicable. If Heaven-Leigh Pilates cancels a paid session and a suitable alternative cannot be provided, you will be offered an appropriate transfer, credit or refund for that session.
Personal Belongings
Please look after your personal belongings while attending a session. Heaven-Leigh Pilates cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Photography & Marketing
Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken during classes or events for Heaven-Leigh Pilates marketing and social media.
Your permission will be obtained before identifiable images or videos of you are used for marketing purposes. You are always welcome to say that you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed.
Website & Communications
When making a booking, please provide accurate contact information so that important information relating to your session can reach you.
Marketing emails and promotional communications are optional. You can choose whether you would like to receive these and can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Heaven-Leigh Pilates Privacy Policy.
