Common Questions
Do I need to have done Pilates before?
Not at all! My classes are suitable for beginners as well as those with Pilates experience. I’ll offer different options throughout the class, so you can work at a level that feels right for you.
What should I bring to class?
You are able to bring your own mat if desired however, mats will be available in case you do not have one. Just bring yourself and some water to hydrate. Water and snacks will also be available to purchase with cash or card!
What can I expect from the class?
When you arrive, I will be greeting you to explain the class plan fully and to calm any nerves. Expect 45 minutes of flowing Pilates designed to build strength, control and body awareness. There’ll be options throughout, a few shakes are very possible, and having a laugh is absolutely encouraged.
What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable moving in. Leggings, shorts, a T-shirt, vest — there’s no dress code here. Grip socks are welcome, but not essential.
What if I have an injury or medical condition?
Please let me know when booking and speak to me before class if there’s anything I should be aware of. I can offer modifications where appropriate, and if you’re unsure whether Pilates is suitable for you, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional first.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Life happens! If you can’t make your class, please cancel or reschedule through your booking as early as you can. Online changes can be made up to 2 hours before class. If something unexpected happens after that, just get in touch with me.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely — and please don’t worry if you don’t know anybody. Creating a friendly community where people feel comfortable coming by themselves is a huge part of what I want Heaven-Leigh Pilates to be.
Where are the classes?
Classes currently take place at Calverley Studios in Calverley, Pudsey. Full location details are provided when you book.
Where can I park?
There is free on-street parking around Calverley Studios. Please park only where there are no yellow-line restrictions and be mindful not to block any driveways or access points. I’d recommend arriving a few minutes early for your first class so you have plenty of time to find a space and get settled.
